The Unity College Maine Alumni Association aims to create and sustain a thriving and strong alumni community to help keep our fellow alumni, faculty, staff, and community members connected, fostering networking, bringing one another together, and carrying on the essence and spirit of all that is Unity.
Our time at Unity College in Unity, Maine forged lifelong friendships, established through the projects we worked on together in our courses, the challenges of rural living, and the adventures we embarked on together. We helped one another split wood, pitch tents, learn to canoe, double check climbing knots, identify flora & fauna, create experiments in the intertidal zone, and build our knowledge and understanding of the natural world around us. We had engaging conversations over potlucks, and by the library fireplace, as we took up the mantle of being good stewards of the Earth and of one another.
The small scale of the college allowed a tight knit community to form, a community that began in 1965, and whose threads were woven throughout the years. As time and space may have separated us, the bonds and memories remain. Our goal as an independent alumni association is to help bridge the gap, to reconnect our community, and to be a centralized and unified voice for the concerns of our Alumni and future of our Alma mater. We hope you will join us in our mission.
